K-SHAC students will have an opportunity to learn, implement, and help improve school policies through their own eyes and actions.  They will be the voice and promoters of their campus regarding both Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Mental health.  These items will be addressed through the use of technology and utilizing campus resources.

K-SHAC will complete the 6 plays by Fuel Up to Play 60 (NFL movement for an active generation).

K-SHAC will meet every Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30p in the Gym, starting September 20, 2016.  If your child is late or absent more than three times they will be dismissed from the program.

K-SHAC advisers are Coach Charlie Anthony and Coach Charles Kappmeyer.

We expect your child to do their personal best in school in order to be part of this group, including but not limited to all HISD campus and district rules.
Students must maintain good academic standing in all classes.

Extra-curricular activities include:
Hosting or participating in HISD Community Wellness events at the campus or district level.
Participating online logging of wellness through fueluptoplay60.com
Possibility of photography of the students to help acknowledge the program as well as give opportunity for the district to see the development of the program

The six plays are:
1. Join the league.
2. Submit KSHAC application
3. KSHAC kick off.
4. KSHAC survey.
5. One healthy eating play and one physical activity play
6. slide show of picture/video created by students.

Fuel up to play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to help encourage today's youth to lead healthier lives.
